SerenRx started behind the counter of a working compounding pharmacy, with a spreadsheet of pack stats and a stack of hand-written calculations.
Why we built it
Compounding is precise work done under time pressure. Every capsule formula needs the right lot, the right potency, the right pack stat and the right capsule size, and every one of those numbers used to live in a different place.
We built Formulator for our own pharmacy first: one place where the numbers live, where the calculation shows its working, and where the write-up is ready the moment the maths is done. It has been used at the bench every day since, and SerenRx is how we’re bringing it to other pharmacies.
What we believe
- Show the working. A pharmacist should be able to check every result, so Formulator never hides a step.
- Fit the workflow. Software should follow how a compounding lab runs, not the other way round.
- Protect what matters. Your data stays yours, in Canada, and patient information stays out of it entirely.
- Be kind to the eyes. Tools used all day should be calm, legible and quick.
The name
Seren, from serene: the calm that comes from knowing the numbers are right. Rx, for the pharmacy. The capsule in our mark is split by an S, for the pharmacy work at the heart of everything we make.
